New Book of Confessions

I have recently read on Newpcus.org that
they are putting together some ideas for a
Book of Confession. Here are the list of
entrants:

The Nicene Creed
The Apostles’ Creed
The Scots Confession
The Heidelberg Catechism
The Second Helvetic Confession
The Westminster Confession of Faith (the PCUS version)
The Shorter Catechism
The Larger Catechism
The Theological Declaration of Barmen

These all seem to be good selections (even though
I am not to keen on the Second Helvetic) and it
seems that this organization is on the right track.

Hey Backwoods! You have two more "like-minded" PCUSA bloggers to visit:

www.classicalpresbyterian.blogspot.com

www.deuteroq.blogspot.com

I'll check back later! See you around the blogosphere!

Hey Backwoods Presbyterian-

I see you're in the Pittsburgh area, I'd love to get together some time and talk newpcus, pronouns, and the like. My email is brian.wallace@gmail.com

As to this list of Confessions - I do find the inclusion of Barmen interesting, only because with its neo-Orthodox/Barthian slant it might be understood to be in conflict with some of the others on the list.
